Hate hate hate, double hate, loathe entirely...

What makes people so adamant about sharing their hate on social media platforms?
I'm sure this is a question many people would love to have the answer to. While I may not have any answers, I think discussing the topic is important.
I understand not everyone is going to like everyone; that is a given, especially when people are so vastly different. So why do some people feel the need to voice their dislike, or even hatred, for another person so loudly? In a world where negativity is like finding hay in a haystack, why do some need to pile on more hay? It's something I see almost every day. Check the comments of any video or post, and you'll see exactly what I am talking about. There are always comments like, "I do it this way and that is how it should be done. Why do they look like that? You suck at parenting. You'll never get a man. Why do you wear so much makeup? What are you even trying to do?" I see these comments under so many videos; these are the more tame ones.
I think these people must feel unimportant in their personal lives, but I'm no psychologist. On some level, they feel like if they can share what they dislike and share "hate," then they won't be so alone in their misery. I also think some people enjoy being mean, but I'm not talking about them.
Then some people need to tell someone how much they dislike someone else. It's like high school all over again. If they truly don't like someone, which is fine—people don't have to like everyone—why must they talk about them every chance they get? Why do they need people to know just how much they don't like this person? Is it so they don't feel alone in their hatred? Is it for the attention? Or is it just to slander someone's name? I also think they do this so they can turn more people against the person, which really just combines all of the above.
I still don't have answers, but I do have theories. My only hope is that at some point people realize how important it is not to be so miserable. We don't have to share more negativity or hate; there is enough that exists without us adding to it.
